AWANA is held at Bethel every Thursday from 6pm to 7:45pm, September through May.
AWANA is one of the largest children’s and youth ministries in the world. Currently, AWANA clubs are active in more than 110 countries, reaching more than one million young people each week. Club sessions feature three segments: Game, Handbook and Council Times. During Game Time, boys and girls play games on the Awana Game Square. In Handbook Time, children work through age-appropriate handbooks, memorizing Bible verses and doing activities that range from patriotism to community service. They earn awards based on their work. The final segment, Council Time, consists of singing, puppets, Bible stories, and lessons based on Christian principles. Besides weekly meetings, other Awana activities occur throughout the year, such as the Awana Games, Bible Quizzing, Grand Prix and Quarterly Parties. Bethel’s Awana program, open to children, operates during the regular school year. If you are interested in attending Awana or becoming a volunteer, please contact the Bethel Church office at 206-567-4255.
